Kaschinbicla Surname Origin/Meaning?
Does anyone have any idea of the meaning or origin of the last name Kaschinbicla? It’s my great (x4) grandmothers last name and we have nothing on her parents. Any help or ideas are appreciated!

My thinking is that it's probably misspelled. If there's reason to believe that she herself spelled her name this way, then I'd go by sound, and try to work with different spellings that would result in a similar sound. The "sch" also makes me think it's German, so it'd be nice to have a German speaker have a go at it and see if maybe saying it really fast or mumbling it would result in anything surnamey sounding.
I can see that there is a Mary M. Kaschinbicla on ancestry.com and there are several census records for her, which would imply that this spelling should correspond to the sound. Which, I think, is the more optimistic option since the other one, is that it's just a random one-off misspelling, which could mean that this surname could just as well be Kaschenbach or something else that just kind of could look similar if you squinted.
And the even less optimistic option is that it's not even German, because the ending is very unusual for a German surname and I can't find a language where this ending would be typical, which really widens the search without any additional context.
Good luck, though, I'm really curious myself now about how this surname came to be.

I have no idea but it looks to be of Germanic origin
