Hi, I'm Kevin Doidge. I was born and still live in North Wales (UK) in 1961. My Father was evacuated here from Plymouth during the war. He has stayed ever since, too - (It's that type of place, please dont tell anyone!) I'm curious as to where our name originates, I'd heard it may have been something to do with the cornish tin mining industry. There are some corruptions on the spelling i.e. Doig and Doige, but theese seem to be of scottish origin. Can anyone shed some light on ub 'Doidges'?
