Archiveslast name TEVES
from what I was told this name is of Portugues origin but not exactly spelled the same. This is my grandfathers' last name who is a mestizo. He was a product of a few generations of portugues or spanish colonizers who were in the Philippines. Can you confirm the last name?

From the research I've done your statement above is correct, with the exception that it isn't spelled the same. My family is Portuguese and my last name is Teves.

In Portugal you can find TEIVES. I ignore the importance of this surname, if is common or not.
In USA Teves is quite popular but it comes from different countries:
Britain and scandinavian as well.
