Does anyone know what the name Watt means? It possibly may have to do with water, or some type of land, and is most likely German. It may/may not have a connection with Watson, which means "son of Walter" and is not Watts. The name was originally Wott, the W pronounced like a V. Any ideas?

It Could be derived from the Medevial English Name "Wat" which is dervived from the medevial english name "Walter" which itself come from the Germanic name meaning "Ruler of the Army" Composed of the elements wald "rule" and heri "army". famous " Wat" Wat Tyler led the English peasants revolt of 1381
