Another word combination surname. I'm not a fan of them, and this one just sounds long winded and terrible. I know this is not an English surname, but the pronunciation seems too complex (at least for me).

Italian pronunciation of "Abategiovanni":Ah-Bah-Teyh-Gyoh-Vahn-Nee"A" as in "Father." "E" equals quite near the English greeting of "Hey" (when "H" is excluded). "Gio" creates "Gyoh" (the "I" is stressed to "EE," but morphs slightly to what is written). "A" is as before, "Father." Both "NN"s are pronounced-- most easily accomplished by additional emphasis to the "A" beforehand and slowly rolling through. The final "I" is stressed to "EE."
