William Shakespeare's wife was also named Anne Hathaway.
The origin listed is incorrect. It comes from the Proto Norse haþu ("battle") and the Old English spelling of the Old Norse víg ("fight/battle"), in turn from the Ancient Germanic wīg (same meaning). Therefore a proper reconstruction would be Haðuwīg or Haþuwīg, depending on if one voices the "th" sound or not.
