I'm sorry to say that both the meaning and origin of the name that appears are wrong.
1) The most important thing is that Quirós is from ASTURIAS, and there are no knowledge which says the surname comes from the Galician word queiroa.
2) Although its origin is still not clear (there are differences), it can be told that the first person found in written records with the surname Quirós is Gonzalo Bernardo de Quirós. However, he was not called Quirós because he came from Quirós, but because he owned a part of the Quirós Council.
3) In Spain, there is only one place called Quirós, the Council of Quiros. Not various places like the description say.
