Meaning & History
From the name of the city of Carmona in Andalusia, Spain. It is possibly derived from Phoenician 饜饜饜 饜饜饜 (Qart 岣mun) meaning "city of Hammon" (the name of a Carthaginian god, see Ba'al Hammon).
