[Surname] Younkins
I can't find anything on the surname Younkins, and I really need to know the meaning for school. Dose any one have an idea what it means? So far, I know this about the name: 1. It's English.
2. The Younkin family was once a noble family.
3. It was is not the original name, it was changed whenever they were thrown out of England and moved to Pennsylvania. I believe the original name was just Younkin, or Younkins without the s. From my own slightly educated guess, it has something to do with family (as in kin) and young, as it's pronounced Young-kins. Help?
