[Opinions] Irish surnemes and their original names
Hi !!!I give you an example: Sheridan comes from Ó Sirideáin that means "descendant of Sirideán". Sirideán is a given name meaning "searcher" (also possibly "wild") in Gaelic. Is Sirideán used in Ireland?Anyway..WDYTO using this kind of surnames as given names? Do you prefer at the contrary the original Gaelic names (if they are still used)? What are your favourite Irish/Anglicized Irish surnames to use as given names?Personal Name Lists https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/125456
