Flandreau
I know plenty about the genealogy of the name Flandreau in the United States, back to Jacques Flandreau of Rochelle, one of the Huguenot founders of New Rochelle. I'd be delighted if folks could confirm that the meaning of Flandreau as a French surname would be 'of Flanders'. (There's some speculation that emigrants came from Flanders to the region around Rochelle to work on converting wetlands into arable land, as they and their ancestors had done in Flanders.)
