Help[Opinions] opinions on twinny names
Wdyt of naming twin girls or boys with not the same initials, but the reverse of the initials (not on purpose, of course, but because you like the names)- i.e. Emma Caroline and Clara Elisabeth?

I wouldn't intentionally try to get the reverse initials but if it just turned out that the names I had had reverse initials, it would be OK.
I'm generally of the opinions that twins are individuals and their identities shouldn't be wrapped up too much in the fact that they're a twin. While reverse initials isn't as bad as giving twins the same initials, its still a little too "twinny" for my taste.

I don't think that's a problem if they're only going to go by their first names - Emma and Clara, for example, aren't too "twinny", and no-one will know that their middle names tie them together.
One thing to remember is that institutions may get things like initials wrong or mixed up, so having an EC Surname and a CE Surname in the same house could be a recipe for disaster when the twins are old enough to be receiving bills or bank statements from the same place.

You shouldn't change a name just because of the initials. I think their lovely names and should be kept the way they are. I think It's cool to have the same initials but backwards. A similar thing happened to my cousins.

I don't think it should be avoided. I like it; it is a subtle connection. Subtle because most people don't tell their middle name to everyone they meet so most people wouldn't even know. Unlike when there are twins Adam and Amber it is obvious to everyone that meets them.
Also Grace and Faith are two names I really like, Faith more so as a middle name and Grace as a first name. For twins I like the combos Grace Amanda and Abigail Faith because they both have an A initial (I love a lot of A names) and a virtue name but when I would introduce them Grace and Abigail aren't twinny.

Never name your twins in any manner that you wouldn't use for regular siblings.

I personally would try not to do it, but I don't think it's terrible, especially if the names aren't related in anything but initials. So, for me, Emma Caroline and Clara Elisabeth is fine, but Emma Catherine and Caitlin Emily is too close!

I think it is cute, and I kinda like it for that reason. It's not like the names scream TWINY!!! I mean, how often do you use your mn? Unless one girl Clara decides she hates her name and starts going by Elizabeth (or vice versa) then you don't really have problem.

My two favourite combos have reversed initials so I would use them if I had twins, but not intentionally to make it 'cute'. If you really adore both names I think it's fine.

I don't think it's bad at all...it might be a little cutesy if it's on purpose, but if you love the names then I don't see why not. They sound really good together too.

I don't like any deliberate theme, however subtle, when naming siblings (including multiples). But if it's incidental, then I think it's fine.

Yes, I think it should be avoided. I dislike double initials, and reversed initials for twins (or any multiples). I think it's tacky, and just takes even more of the children's identity away from them.
