It doesn't look finished and I wasn't sure of how you'd choose to pronounce it.
Ad-uh-lay, though is a bit of a GP, due to the song Adalae.

I like the sound, but Adelaide is one of my favorite names, and I just automatically add the 'de' end in my head. :)

That would be my first reaction. With a differnet spelling, it wouldn't look so muhc like Adelaide without the -de. Maybe Adelay? Still, I don't think it's a great name...

She'll go her whole life telling people her name is Adelai and then they'll think she said Adelaide and then she'll always have to correct them. Which is obnoxious, I know, as people seemed to think my name was Sharon or Shawna a lot!

For some reason, it does not seem finished to me. Personally, I like Adelaine (ad-a-line) better... or whatever spelling seems better.
