WDYT of Ebele? I think I am falling in love with it. It is pretty without being frilly and has a lovely meaning. I am pronouncing it eb-EL but if anyone knows if this correct or not, please let me know.

I know a Chukwuebele who goes by it.
I think it's very pretty, with a great meaning. I'm not sure if you're pronouncing it right, because I knew her a long time ago and avoided her. She felt that she could sing and would subject the church to the most awful wailing.

It's ok sounding to me. I never heard of it before until you mentioned it. I like the meaning of the name.

I actually kind of like it (with your pronounciation at least). I'll tell you though, my first pronounciation was EE-beh-lee or ee-BEE-lee for some reason, and it reminds me of igloo. All that aside though, I like it!
ETA: I just realized that a popular 'netspeak' way to type the word 'Evil' is 'Ebil' Sounds kind of like Ebele...

It's far, far more likely that it's pronounced eh-BEE-lee, from what I know of other languages from that area. I don't mind that pronunciation. Yours is strange to me as I have a friend with the surname Ebell, pronounced eh-BEL.

I love eh-BEE-lee too...I have gone through just about every possible prn and I love all of them :)
The guy I am seeing at the moment is half Igbo (his Mum is from Cameroon but her parents were originally from Nigeria). I might ask his Mum if I can slip it into the conversation without making it sound as though I have been researching Igbo names :p S is also a quarter Korean so I have been looking into them too...I really need to stop this! I am not in love with him but the moment I meet a guy my mind goes crazy about names that would be good if I had kids with him...I sound nuts...
