[Opinions] Re: WDYT of Hannelore?
It's a German name, and in German, that final 'e' makes an 'uh' sound*. I pronounce it hun-uh-LOR-uh - in my accent it sounds like Hannah-Laura.I really like it, it's got a very soft sound to it. In an English-speaking country, you could Anglicise the spelling slightly (Hannelora) to ensure it was pronounced correctly, but people do deal with unusual pronunciations anyway.* Other examples of this German pronunciation: Charlotte (shar-LOT-uh), Anneliese (ann-uh-LEE-zuh).
