[Opinions] Traeh
I was just looking over the newborn nursery at the local hospital, and after seeing a 'Nevaeh,' I stumbled upon Traeh. It took me a moment to realize what it really was. I'm beyond unimpressed. On a somewhat better note, in addition to the horror of Traeh, there was a little girl named Kalliope. Though not something I'd use myself, it was refreshing among the Madisons and Morgans of the hospital. What do you think?

I thought I'd seen it all when I encountered a little Tnomal (his father is Lamont) at my dd's school but Traeh is truly tragic. Sigh ...

Traeh is as lame as Nevaeh and I wonder how they pronounce it. Perhaps it also defies the phonetics of the English language. On the other hand, I love Kalliope. I much prefer the K to the C because Greek actually has a letter K and Latinized spellings tend to annoy me anyway, heh.

I saw an example of a boy named Traeh several years ago, before many people even noticed Nevaeh. And if the girl named Kalliope had parents with Greek ancestry, as is fairly likely in the USA, they were using the normal spelling for them.

LOL, and I definitely agree.

Wow and I thought Nevaeh was bad. Kalliope is nice to see though.

Wow, that's bad.
It took me awhile to realize what it was. What's next? Anigav? Evol?

Don't say that! Some expetant mother will probably stumble upon Evol and think its perfect to go with her Nevaeh and Destinee or something.

hahaha, I agree.

I love Calliope (it's a very old favourite of mine), but Kalliope simply doesn't appeal to my personal aesthetic at all.Traeh is ugh. It's not a pretty sound or a pretty spelling. Quite honestly, I'd rather be named Heart.Array

I much prefer the C as wellBut let's just say that my county isn't known for it's...adherence (sp?) to traditional spellings. I must say, you do have the best taste in names. I always love reading your top 10 and so on. :)
