I love Theodora. It happens to be a combination of my great-great-grandparents' names, and it would be so adorable to use Theodore for a boy and Theodora for a girl. But otherwise, I think it looks and sounds very classy.

Katarina: It's ok. I have a friend named Katarina nn "Kat"
Mariah: I have a friend named Mariah, but I always think of a) Mariah Carey and b) Paint Your Wagon ("They Call the Wind Mariah")

Alistair: I see this a lot, but I'm not a fan.
Alec: I prefer Alexander nn Alec.
