[Opinions] Calla?
Do you like the name Calla? How would you pronounce it?

Its pretty. Cal-uh. Calla Rose Marie- So sweet!
I'd pronounce it the same way as Isla does, but I couldn't say I like it. If it was going to be used, I'd probably consider it as nickname for Calista/Callista, although I myself would use Callie in that case.

I think it's quite pretty. I love the nickname Callie. I say it CAA-lah (the a being like in cat, not like in father or James).
just like Callie only with an -uh sound at the end. I don't like it. I'd stick with Callie.
I like it. It makes me think of calla lilies, which I find very pretty. I pronounce it the same way as the flower.
I used to adore this name, but my interest in it has waned over the last couple of years. I pronounce it CAL-ah (the first syllable having a short "a" sound). That is how calla lily is pronounced. I know of a little girl named Calla Elizabeth, and her sister is Anja Maria. I adore those little girls and both of their names. :) Calla supposedly got her name as a suggestion from her sister, Anja, who was 3 or 4 when Calla was born. 1) Calla was the name of a princess on the Gummi Bears cartoon (LOL), and 2) forgive the spelling, but... Super-Calla-frajulistic-ex-pee-alla-docious. :b

CAL-ah. (Cal like in Calvin). I promise that's the correct pronunciation too, as I used to know someone with the name.
I love love love it!
Combos I like with it..well, it's used in Arabic places so I like Calla Qaysarah (ky-SAR-ah).
Calla Sophia, Calla Fiora, Calla Brianne, and Calla Calanthe, Calla Esmeralda, and Calla Keturah.
I like it as a nn for Camilla too.

Just beause one person pronunces a name a certain way does not mean its correct.

Where are your manners?
It may just be the way I'm reading your posts, but it seems that you are always after me for one reason or another. Rarely are you kind (or so it seems). I don't mind being corrected or questioned, but please, try to be nice about it.
Again, I understand pet peeves, so if I'm just reading in the wrong tone, let me know, but that's not the way it seems.
As for Calla, the girl was half-Greek (her father was from Greece). I assumed she could pronounce a name from her own language. If her family had of simply chosen the name from a baby names book, then sure, I'd be skeptical, but I wasn't in this case.

I pronounce it "CAH-lah", as in calla lily. I think it would be a lovely mn.

Maybe Cal-la? Or Kay-la? I've never heard of that name before. But I do like it.
I like the name Calla. I prn. it Call-uh (call rhymes with tall), but I know that isn't the correct way. I just like it better. :)

Not sure on how to prn it, but it reminds me of the flower Calla Lily. Isn't that what they're called? Anyways, it doesn't sound like a very attractive name to me.
