[Opinions] Re: Yuri and Adriana

Yuri is a female name--I wouldn't like it for a boy. However, the term "yuri" in Japanese means lesbian hints, suggestions, and relationships in anime and manga. Well, there's more to it than that, but that's what most people think of. Use it carefully--it's still a beautiful name and it means Lily.
I love the name Adriana, and it goes well with Leilani, but I would need to know about ages and time periods before I could decide about how one is the mother of the other. ^.^

Yuri is a Russian boys' name
cognate of George. I love it on a boy because of Yuri Bashmet.

hehe I didn't know that. I don't know if Yuri/Lily from Wedding Peach ever had a boyfriend :P Do people in Japan still name their daughters Yuri or is the association too strong ?

Yes, it's still used.
I asked my Japanese teacher and he said that Yuri is a common girl's name in Japan, and it is generally considered a beautiful name.
