[Opinions] Sefora.
It's in the database as Sephora at least, but as that's a make-up company I prefer Sefora. WDYT? I think it's rather pretty, if a little flighty. Also wdyt of Omar and Taras? Both are male names.

I like Sephora better, but as you said, it's a make-up company. I like Sapphira best.

Oh, I think Sefora is lovely. I don't care about the make-up connotation at all. I greatly prefer it spelled Sephora, though. It's more exotic and elegant that way.

Sefora is ugly, and so is Taras. I love Omar, though!

I really like it. I didn't know it was a name until you mentioned it on the board before (at least, I believe it was you - well someone did!). So my first experience of Sephora was the make-up shop, but that doesn't put me off the name. I love Omar, it just has a beautiful sound. I don't feel much one way or the other towards Taras. It depends on how you are pronouncing it. If it ended up exactly like "tar ass" then, not my thing. If the first syl were stressed, like Harris, it's nice. And of course, if the second syl (ass) were stressed, that could be bad in the US.EDIT - Having seen the pron. for Taras in the database, it's nice as long as people get it right and don't resort to Tar Ass. But the Russian pron. does sound very Russian, and I don't know how well it would suit a child who wasn't, no Russian surname, no other Russian names in the family. In your own surroundings you can judge that best.

I like Omar, but not Taras. Sefora isn't my kind of thing, it's the "ora" sound I'm not overly keen on.

I like it. It's pretty and unusual, but I still prefer Sephora. I also quite like Omar and Taras.

Unfortunately, it reminds me of the cat belonging to my neighbours when I was a kid. It was named Ceefa - as in, 'C for Cat'. Sefora is too much like that for me to take it seriously.

We had a cat called Ceefa, lol.We thought it was so original. Guess not.

Haha neat coincidence :-)

Okay, it's not in the database. It is a legit name, however - you can search it out on the Facts' Board. It's a form of Zipporah.
