[Opinions] Eva
I know Eve and Eve-starting names are considered overused in the US, but what about Eva? It's not very common in Italy, at least for my generation, and it started growing one me.ETA: I'm inclined to pronounce it EH-va, not EE-va.

I love Eva, especially pronunced EH-va, and it is on the list of names I would consider using. I see it as a pretty classic. I have known a few EE-vas, but no EH-vas, sadly.

Eva is on my PNL, and I only use the EH-vah pronunciation.

Pretty name, but it would always remind me of EVE from Wall-E. He insists on calling her Eva. However, if you haven't seen the movie, or haven't been tormented since the film came out by your parents being "cute" (although they were adorable calling each other Wall-E and Eva), it would work quite nicely. I like the fact that it's less common than Eve.

Actually Eva is way more common than Eve. Eva is at number 118 or so and Eve is at 500

Nice name! I have an aunt Eva, pronounced EE-va, and a family friend who pronounces it Eh-va.(She's from Mexico, and I guess that's how they say it there).
I like Evangeline, but it's too long for any but the shortest last name. Wouldn't work with my own 4-syllable, vowell-ridden one!

Love it, but in the States it'll be pronounced Eva and she'll constantly be correcting people. If you're in Italy, though, it shouldn't be a problem, should it? My little bit of Italian tells me that "i" makes the "ee" sound, and "e" makes an "eh" sound...?I think it's a lovely name. I don't even think it's overused in the U.S.

Eva is sorta NMS, sorry, but it does have quite a cute ring to it - especially if you pronounce it EH-va. It might begin to grow on me...I can just picture it on a baby girl! *resists urge to add it to PNL*

Uhm actually Eva is starting to get popular in the US. Check the popularity chart. Eva is getting common, as are Evangeline and Evie. Eve is underused.I like Eva but wouldn't use it. I think it has potential to become the next number 1 baby name for girls. It will replace Ava. The way you pronounce it it sounds like Ava which is really common.
