[Opinions] Quinn
WDYTO Quinn? Though I hate surnames used as first names, this one's growing on me. I also hate unisex names, but I think Quinn might work on a girl as well. Strange, isn't it...

I know a little boy named Quinn, and while I think it's a great surname I wouldn't use it as a first name.

I visualize a good looking, clean cut, professional man, but I think it also works great for a little boy. It's definitely decent.

Part of me loves Quinn and I love seeing it on peoples children, however it is a very dear name to me that has experienced tremedous pain and tragedy and I just don't think I could use it.

Someone I know is having a daughter in a couple days and naming her that. I don't care for it because of the surnaminess, either, but it's not a formal-sounding one (since it's slightly familiar as a boy's personal name), and it's not unpleasant or too butch sounding.. sort of has precedent in Lynn. I think it'll grow on me. Besides, it seems fashionable, yet isn't popular.- chazda

My surname is Quinn. It is the most popular surname in Ireland and is also the name of one of Irelands largest supermarket chains. In personal thought I would never name a child this as a first name as there may be confussion between the first and last names, or even a middle name, people could think the child has two surnames.

I know a girl whose little sister is named Quinn, but I've also read a character in a book whom I love, so I don't know. I think it's a great name either way.

I love Quinn for a boy, but I can't say I care for it on a girl much. If I met a girl named Quinn, I think I would probably assume that her parents had wanted a boy, so they gave her a more masculine name.~*|Bethany|*~

Quinn was my favorite name for a boy for a while, but now it's moved down the list a little boy. I still prefer it for a boy, though. I can see it on a little girl--which is odd for me, too, because I usually greatly dislike unisex names on girls--but because I like it so much for a boy, I prefer for it to be used on a lot of little girls (and then be "taken over", lol). If that makes sense. :b

I actually really like Quinn.. it has grown on me throughout the years because I used to hate it!"Don't make someone a priority, who only makes you an option."

I love the name Quinn, it's in my top 5 for boys, but I really dislike it for a girl. It's only a boys name in my opinion.
