Louise is perfectly fine and quite lovely for a child. I personally prefer Louisa, as it reminds me of the writer of "Little Women". And Louisa seems a tad more refined, but I would love to meet a little girl named Louise! I adore Lulu/Lola/Lula as nicknames!
