Aww... poor King Gwillim and Princess Blandine! Shame...
Queen Belantha the Amarathine, took to her King's and daughter's death quite badly. She wears only maroon (the color of mourning in Caranenth) and seems to have aged more in the past few weeks than she has in the past 10 years. She is now no longer called "Belantha the Amaranthine" but "secretly" addressed by the populace as "The Maroon Queen" or "The Queen of Sorrows".
As for the Child Queen, everybody regards her with a certain cautious underlying respect, or maybe its fear. She seems to have taken after her father "King Gwillim the Sage", and comes across as very wise for her young years. She keeps to herself which makes her seem a little too icy for her age. Her Fiance calls her "The Ice Queen" in regard to her personality as well as her appearance. She is an albino with the whitest skin ever, white hair and eyelashes, and her most revered characteristic, clear glass grey eyes. She is Nephele the Icy one, Nephely the Snow-Flecked one, Nephele the Cloudy one... There is no one royal nickname circulating, but many. She is tall and thin, and has a finely drawn face that seems to add a few years to her true age.
The first time her Fiance, Leonidas the 16-year-old Archduke of Margenshire met her, he was stunned. He didn't know whether he found her immensely beautiful, exotic or terrifying. He finally settled on all three, as his curiosity for this young Queen of Caranenth overpowered his impulse to flee the court, he agreed to the marriage.
Although their meeting was formal, and they wouldn't meet again until their wedding, both parties seemed to be... cordial with the other. The whole Kingdom is anxiously and excitedly preparing for the wedding of their unique Queen.
