Michiko and Akane are twin one-year-old girls from Japan. They were left at the orphanage by a mother who refused to reveal the reason, other than that she will never meet them again. The girls have been raised until they were a few months old by the mother before she gave them up. Now that they are to be adopted, their caretakers wish them the best of families.
