I don't mind Matilda, but it confuses me. Why is Matilda so hot but other musty old lady names are still considered ugly? Matilda is no more beautiful than Edith or Millicent. Where's the popularity surge for them!? I blame it all on Heath Ledger.
I am cool with Matilda, but I am not a fan of the annoying Mattie as a nickname. Tilly is the only way to go in my mind. Sometimes I think a lot of these Matilda-lovers are Madison or Madeline-lovers in disguise tryin' to be tricksy. Oh yeah, we're not trend followers at all, we'll pick the underused and geeky Matilda, but please call her Maddi- uh Mattie.
Anyways. I really like your Alice Matilda. It's very sweet. Agnes Matilda would be cute too - Aggie Matilda, aw. So Nan-errific.
