I love most of the nn for
Dorothy /
Dorothea even better than the formal names, lovely as they are.
Dot is super cute.
Dodie is my ultimate fav.
Dorothea Louise -- Being extra-picky today, I'm not happy with the repeated, stressed long "ee" sounds in this one. Then again, if I ever met a real
Dorothea Louise in real life, I'd do a jig with joy.
Dorothea Josephine -- A tad on the long side, but still nice.
Dorothea Hazel -- This is my favorite of your Dorotheas. You know, the more I look at her the more
Dorothea Louise is starting to grab hold of me. The styles of both those names are so right together. It's a shame about the flow. What to do, what to do? Hmm. At this point, it's a tie.
Dorothea Ruby -- Nice.
Ruby is a tad heavy next to light-as-air
Dorothea though.
Dorothea Millicent -- Could I interest you in
Dorothea Melisande? I like the flow better.
Dorothy Jane -- Sweet, simple and to the point. What's not to love?
Dorothy Mae -- mae is feeling filler-ish here.
Dorothy Rose -- Definitely filler-esque.
Dorothy Juliet --
Dorothy is cute.
Juliet is a bit of a drama queen. the two aren't sitting happily next to each other for me.
Dorothy Eloise -- Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner. [The long "ee" sounds aren't a problem for me because that sound isn't stressed in
Dorothy the way it is in
Dorothea.]
So, to recap: (1)
Dorothy Eloise; (2)
Dorothy Jane; (3) tie between
Dorothea Louise and
Dorothea Hazel.
