I was wondering if this name meant anything besides "sister" in hawaiin. It was my mothers nick name.

Spelled "tita", it's slang for sister. The word itself doesn't come from the Hawaiian language, where "t" is never used. If you identify the language it came from, you can probably find alternate meanings for the word.

In this spelling the name can not be Hawaiian, because Hawaiian does not use the letter "t".

That's true, but "tita" is considered Hawaiian slang.
