How do you pronounce Hortense in German? I hope it sounds better than in English!

Opalescence gave a pretty good pronunciation guide. Well, that's at least how it would be pronounced in German, but then again, Hortense isn't commonly used as a name here, and seeing it paired with Charlotte, I imagine her parents use either the French or the English pronunciation...

I was just looking for a way to explain the pronunciation, but now I see that you beat me to it. Plus, your explanation is way better than anything I had thought up, so thanks :-)
