I've met quite a few Ashleys, despite being born ahead of the Ashley curve. I spell it Ashley; the other spellings dumb it down, imo.
While pretty, Ashley is very, very tired now, and I think ten years will only make it worse. For a mn, it's fine, but as a fn, Ashley needs to nap for about a hundred years.
I hate Ashley on a boy, at least in the US, so I definitely prefer Asher.
