[Opinions] Re: Challenge, finding full names for nicknames and spelling survey
in reply to a message by Lily
Ally - I LOVE Alannah with the nickname Ally. I also really like Allegra. Alaia could also work.Penny - for the nickname I like Penelope the best, but Nell is my fave nickname for it. I adore Aspen, but Penny isn't an automatic nickname for it; however, I do think it could work and be a MUCH better nn than something else.Charlie - For this one I like Charlize a ton. I also like Charlotte but prefer the nickname Lottie.Jessie - My fave is Jessamine! Its one of my latest name crushes but will have to remain a gp, I also like the nickname Minnie! My ex fiance's sister is Jessica and goes by Jessie.Interesting question about the -e. I prefer Brooke, Rain, and Skye. I know I like Skye spelt like this for the island, but I'm not sure why I like Brooke with the -e, maybe I'm just used to it.Aquinnah - 8 - loving this! Would you use the nickname Quinn? I adore it :)
Estella - 3 - doesn't do much for me
Emmeline (-line) - 2 - I'm not a fan of any Em- name
Shea (SHAY) - 9 - love, on my middles list
Cleo - 6 - a new gp for me, I also like it spelt Clio.
Sky,e - 8 - love it!
Brook,e -7/8 - I'd really love it if not for it's popularity
Rain,e - 9 - love love love, one of the names I'd totally use in the middle!
Keeley, Keely - 7 - really cute and spunky but I wouldn't use it in real life
Phoebe - 7 - I've loved Phoebe since I first saw Charmed :) Beautiful and mystical
Esther - 3 - see EstellaOverall great names!

(My great grandpa was Wilburn "Bill")Evie - I love Eve, but I'm still not sure. Dislike Evelyn and EvaFrankie - considered Francesca, but I'm not ItalianLola - Lorelei? Or is this one tooo dog-ish?Poppy - considered Penelope and Persephone, unsure which of these work better or if either works.Romy - Romilly is my number one for this nickname, but everyone irl hates itSavvy - Savannah used to be my #1 until the burst of popularity. I still love Savvy though. **Nicknames are really a big deal in my family, so the kid would often be called by their nick. Thanks!

Billie works on its own, in my opinion. How about Willa or Willow, though? Wilhelmine? Wilma? Evie - Evita, Evanna?Frankie - you don't have to be Italian to use Francesca. Frances? Francine?Lola - Dolores? Lola works on its ownPoppy - works on its ownRomy - sameSavvy - hmmm don't know, but I like Savannah

Billie - I love Wilhelmina, but I understand what you mean. Maybe Willow?
Evie - Evangeline is my favorite for Evie. Genevieve would be nice too.
Frankie - I like Francesca. Francine or Frances would be my only other suggestions.
Lola - I love Lorelei! Leopoldine might work.
Poppy - Penelope! It's one of my favorites and I think Poppy is every bit as acceptable as Penny or Nell. Persephone is a good one too. Keeping with the Greek theme, Parthenope could work too.
Romy - I'm not a fan of Romilly, sorry. Maybe Andromache, Andromeda, Romola, Rosamond or Rosemary?
Savvy - Savannah is super popular here too. Savitri?
