It's one of those boring modern names that go out of fashion isn't it?
Sorry, but it doesn't do much for me.

I've never liked the name Kaylie (no offense to Kaylies) because I grew up w/ a dumb girl named Kalie (pronounced as Kaylie) when I was little. She ruined the name for me, so I wouldn't recommend it. If you would use it, I'd spell it either Kayley or Caleigh.

It's not the worst K name out there imo. Besides, I think that it's the sort of name that can really fit an individual like a glove, even though I wouldn't personally use it. I like this spelling far more than any other. It looks more "legit" to me.PP's in Profile

Overused, trendy, boring, and forgettable.

Dreadful name in my opinion. It is chronically trendy and overused. Kaylie's will always have a date to their name. When they are 50, being called Kaylie will be like being called Nancy nowadays. Because of its sound, I bet people thought Nancy was young, fresh and cute. Now look what's happened to it!_____________________________________________________________________Elinor

Nancy is actually an old nn for Anne. It probably sounded the way Isabelle sounds to some today - a refreshingly new "old-fashioned" name.
One example is the character of Nancy in Oliver Twist.

WowNobody likes my name. ok well I know I'm biased but I think Kaylie is cute. I don't know the difference between "cutesy" and cute but m name is Kaylie Anne and I wouldn't want any other name. Kaylie Anne xxhttp://www.freewebs.com/romance_haha/index.htm

Well Kaylie, I like your name! :) I think it's very pretty! Sure, it is on the cute side but so what? Names like that keep people youthful in my opinion. It's so much better than some old musty clunker like Matilda or Beatrice! My name is Amy and I've always liked the girl-like quality of it. I won't be giving my own kids old grandma names-ugh. Kaylie is a favorite of mine-and I quite like Kylie too. Don't listen to all the haters-it's a very popular name because lots of people like it. And it will age fine-it has to! There are going to be thousands of adult Kaylies!! :) Nice name!

You're still young enough to think that cute is good, and besides, you're used to it :-) I thought that Connor was cute on a girl when I was not much younger than you!But when you're 50, Kaylie - which screams pink toys, glitter and plaits to most people - may not seem so appropriate.

But by the time Kaylie is 50, her name *won't* scream pink toys, glitter and plaits. It'll be like Barbara is today. Fashionable names age with their bearers. It'll be *too* age appropriate - dated, in fact._____________________________________________________________________Elinor

I abhor it and all its various spellings. It doesn't age well, it's a made up combo of Kay + Lee, it's cute sounding but not attractive at all imo, etc. etc. ~Heather~

Kaylie is like Kylie it's too cutesy and trendy and it doesn't age well. Sorry i don't like it.

It's tolerable to me in its proper original spelling, Kayley. Or you could use Kaylee / Kayleigh with the understanding that it's actually just a combo of Kay and Lee / Leigh. But in any form, the name's super tryndee and cutesy. Judge Kaylee Smith doesn't have the same ring as Judge Kay Smith does to me.

Kaylie isn't a name to me, but rather an anglicisation of the Gaelic word céilidh which is a social dance.Kaylie looks unsubstantially childish and lacks any kind of unique qualities to stand out among all the other names out there.

I sort of like it, but I prefer the spelling Caley.

See, now that spelling makes me want to say cal-lee instead of kay-lee. I once had a dog named Calley (rhymes with Halley). She was sweet. I like that name.edit: my spelling is atrocious this evening.

The number of 'l's in the name affects how the 'a' behaves, thus Caley is KAY-lee and Calley is KA-lee; Haley is HAY-lee and Halley is HA-lee (unless it's the comet *sigh*) etc.
