Would it be re-NAY-tah?

No, only by English-speaking people. I would pronounce it Reh-NAH-tah."But it’s all right now.

I can't imagine saying it re-NAY-ta even in EnglishI'd definitely say Renata re-NAH-ta, but I didn't reply because she didn't ask about Renata - she asked about Renáta, the Hungarian version, which I imagine has a specific pronunciation.

If it's Hungarian, it would be more like REH-nah-tah.Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if only one remembers to turn on the lights

Reh-naah-tah. The stress is on Reh, but naah is long syllable.
