I agree with clevelandkentevans. That being said, I think Audrey and Dorothy being that low on the list is interesting. Also, Nuala has a sort of modern feel here in the US but maybe its a bit musty there. All in all though, I am not surprised at whats on that list.

I think a lot of it has to do with Ireland becoming less religious, immigration, increasing influence from the US and the UK, and increasing interest in traditional Irish names. I noticed that, in terms of the English names, Ireland and the UK are becoming more like each other.

I'm not sure that "common 50 years ago, rare for newborns now" should really be defined as "most unpopular", but this is still interesting data.
