[Opinions] Re: Thane?
I immediately think of Macbeth: "No more that thane of Cawdor shall deceive
Our bosom interest: go pronounce his present death,
And with his former title greet Macbeth." So, to me, it seems like a title and is therefore strange as a name. All things considered, I don't think it's a terrible name. It's certainly unusual and using titles as names is a common practice as well.
