I dislike it because it sounds like you're saying
Jennifer with a stuffed nose. Normally I should like it because the sound isn't bad and I love trees and flowers. But the former popularity of
Jennifer just ruins it to me, it is way too close and always sounds like you have a cold and are trying to say
Jennifer or like you're mumbling. It also reminds me of jupiter. Not necessarily a bad thing but it makes it kind of spacey.
Hmmm if you had asked me a few years ago I would have told you it would only be able to have a very small rise in popularity, due to its similarity to
Jennifer. I would have guessed that people were tired of similar sounds. Apart from that J-names aren't really so common for girls anymore. There is not a single J name in the girls top 80! The highest ranking J name is
Julia, at number 89. And it is falling rather quickly. There is no other girls name starting with J in the top 100 of 2015. I think in 2016 or 2017 there might not be a single one in it depending on how quickly
Julia falls!
It seems to be rising against the odds but I don't see it in the top 50. I think it might not even reach the top 200. Depends on its exposure. If a famous celebrity uses it I could see it getting close to the top 100. But if it stays unexposed I think it might rise a bit, being used by hipster parents, but will never become really popular. Maybe it appeals to people because it is a nature names, like
Willow and
Rowan, which are getting more common.
