Addie? That's like loving guacamole and hating avocado. Granted, there are some people like that, but, well, they're baffling.
I don't know if it's inevitable that people will call her
Addie. A lot of young Christophers with uptight mummies are carefully called "
Christopher" all the time nowadays. There's much more of a respect for "the text" in general. But, like, ... how do you love a name whose first syllable you hate? Wouldn't you WANT to call her
Addie?
