Message: "Lilia or Lydia?" - Behind the Name

This is a constant question in my head: which is nicer, Lilia or Lydia?

To me, Lilia looks and sounds beautiful; I would even go so far as to say that it is the #1 prettiest girls' name out there. But I'm also drawn in by the similar-sounding, classic Lydia. I like the Biblical and Pride and Prejudice references and that Lyddie is much less of a common nickname than Lily.

So, what are your thoughts?
