Ingrid is one of my absolute favorite names. It's Very common in Nordic Countries and it's used in Germany as well. I believe it's also used in other European countries. In the U.S., I've met 2 Ingrid's, but they were from Hispanic origins. One was a 50 year old woman who is from Costa Rica, and the other is a 16 year old girl from Mexico. I had no clue it was also used in Spanish! My friends say "It sounds so gritty, and it reminds me of an old and dusty croqueted stuffed animal." which was oddly specific. What about you, do you like the name Ingrid? What are your opinions it, do you agree with my friends?
