I saw Welthea first, and it was next to stuff like Weyrich and Bearsheba...I thought, "Is this some weird Americanization of Althea, sort of like Elthea? Is it a rare German name??" haha
I guess it's not too far-fetched, though. It's not like German and Old English don't cross over.

In that context, I'd presume much the same, especially since it drops the a in wealth and goes with welth, so you'd presume the name was a prefix of wel- and the normal feminine suffix of -thea
