I wouldn't avoid a name I loved because of the nicknames. That just seems weird to me. Just don't use the nickname if you hate it.
But as for names I love with nicknames I hate:
Angela/Angelina/Angelica - Angie
Bridget - Biddy
Camilla - Cammie
Cassandra/Cassidy - Cassie, Cass
Charlotte - Charlie
Daniel - Dan
Dominic - Dom
Elizabeth - Betty, Liz, Elsie

Even if you don’t use the nickname that doesn’t prevent other people from using it though, especially if it’s a really common nickname (like Gwen for Gwendolyn). And if the kid actually prefers that nickname then you’ll have to hear it all the time. It might be petty but I’d like to avoid that.
