Help[Opinions] Have you ever met someone in real life who named their child a “fandom name”?

Sort of. I've met a Juliet whose parents were inspired by Shakespeare. I'm pretty sure at least one Elizabeth I've met was partially named in honor of Elizabeth Bennett. The Shakespeare and Jane Austen Fandoms are alive and well. I know a Rose whose mother was inspired after watching Titanic but of course also liked the flower. I have suspicions that "The Mummy" was partly responsible for at least one of the little Evelyn/ Evie girls running around.
A lot of people seem to make subtle references like Luke. Who is to say whether Luke was named after the apostle or Star Wars unless you really know the family?

When I was in girl scouts in the late 90s, at a community camp my troop went to, there was a set of twins in one unit named Arwen and Eowyn. They loved it. I found them a few years ago with daughters of their own whom they passed down the tradition of a fandom name. Arwen has daughters Hermione and Luna, and Eowyn has a daughter Fiona.

Yes, but most of the personal examples I know wouldn't be quite as "obvious" as Khaleesi and Daenerys.
I have a first cousin who my aunt and uncle named Brett after the character Bret Maverick on the 1957-1962 American television series.
My oldest first cousin had six children, and she let the older children name her sixth and last child, who they named after the character Jody on the television series "Family Affair" (1966-1971).
I did meet someone once who had named his daughter Galadriel after the character in "Lord of the Rings" -- and that was decades ago, way before the movies came out, so her father was a fan of the original books. She was usually called Adriel in everyday conversation.

I have met a girl named Kitiara once when I was a counselor at summer camp. I had never heard that name in my life, so I checked on here and other websites. It seems there is a character named Kitiara in a book series called Dragonlance. But other websites have mentionned the name has japanese origin. I didn't ask the parents if the girl was named after the book character or not, but could very well be.

I have not - unless the fandom in question had really normal names and I did not realize they were named after characters. Definitely not Eevee, Hercule, or Cloud.
From the same series: I don't know if it counts 100%, considering it existed as an independent name beforehand, but I know someone who named her daughter Arya after the character.

Yes, quite a few. Mostly The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings, Buffy, and Star Trek; but also Star Wars, X Files, Gilmore Girls, The Crow, X Men, Marvel, and probably some others I’m forgetting.
