[Opinions] Re: Have you ever met someone in real life who named their child a “fandom name”?
Yes, but most of the personal examples I know wouldn't be quite as "obvious" as Khaleesi and Daenerys.I have a first cousin who my aunt and uncle named Brett after the character Bret Maverick on the 1957-1962 American television series. My oldest first cousin had six children, and she let the older children name her sixth and last child, who they named after the character Jody on the television series "Family Affair" (1966-1971).I did meet someone once who had named his daughter Galadriel after the character in "Lord of the Rings" -- and that was decades ago, way before the movies came out, so her father was a fan of the original books. She was usually called Adriel in everyday conversation.
