Searching Ancestry, all exact matches for Tremher seem to come from Wisconsin or Minnesota with the original spelling Tremper. Also according to Ancestry (see here: https://www.ancestry.ca/name-origin?surname=tremper), Tremper originates from German "Trömper" meaning "trumpeter" or "drummer".
