Yosyp Shylinh was a hero of Euromaidan. Where does Shylinh come from? I think it is German (Ukrainianised) but maybe I am wrong. If I am correct what surname is this from?

This is obviously a ukrainised form of the frequent German name Schilling. The meaning is derived from the coin named Schilling (also the Austrian currency before the Euro), For more information on Schilling see
