[Facts] Re: Name update #117
in reply to a message by Anya Mel’nik or Mel’nyk
For this update (and probably the next few) I'm primarily looking at the fully validated names in the user-submitted collection and trying to fill in gaps in the main collection. I'm purposefully not doing any deep dives into any one culture, since that tends to bog me down. The next few updates will probably also be light on updates to existing names and focus mostly on adding new ones.
So, the best way to help with the Belarusian names is to add them to the user-submitted collection and verify the info.
Pronunciations can be added in comments (like you have been doing). These get flagged by the comment editor and I go through them somewhat chronologically. I'm trying to make it to at least the end of 2024 before I push out the next update.
Also, I'll have a look at Petrus.

If I add names that are already on database with correcions in submitted will they be updated?

If there is information missing or incorrect, don't submit a duplicate name, just add a comment to the existing name. I don't search for or even have a mechanism to find missing information stored in duplicate names.
Ok, I think some already have comment I left
