They don't HAVE TO start with the same letter but that can be nice.
Mine would be:Sophia Caroline and Gemma Hope (if I take my other children's names in consideration)or if it was just up to me:
Shiloh Nohealani and Hope Keola

I love Sophia Caroline and Hope.

Either Natasha and Niamh, because those are the names I plan on using if I have two daughters anyway, or Evelyn and Lillian, just because I've always thought they sounded nice together.

I have several sets of twins - and they all have themesHypothetical twins, of course. As you can see, going over the top does not give me vertigo!Grace and Mercy -- God's two greatest gifts to Mankind.
Lyric and Harmony -- My musical babies.
Patience and Peace -- My virtuous girls.
Lily and Rose -- I don't care, I don't care, I don't CARE how popular they are!
Liberty and Verity -- Truth and Freedom are sisters.
Elisabella and Katrienne -- I created these individually but love them together.
Selene and Soleil -- The Moon and the Sun as sisters.
Butterfly and Nightingale -- Two beautiful wingèd creatures.
Sonnet and Song -- Poetry and music: beautiful words both spoken and sung.~Lillian~

I like (throwing my naming ethics out the window ;)):
Grace and Mercy
Lyric
Lily and Rose (damn poupularity...)
Elisabella and Katrienne (nice!)
Selene and Soleil but not as twins (I just think they sound so similar)

I'd only use identical letters if I happened to like two names with that letter. Now, if I were still on my Scottish naming kick, I'd go for Davina and Fiona (dh loves Fiona). Most of the time, I'd go with my favorite, Marina, and something my dh would like such as Elizabeth or Cassandra. He'd definitely want one of those.

I adore Marina!

Twin girlsFirst off. No, I don't think they have to match in anyway.
If you have identical twins that's even one more thing to draw them together when really all they want is to be on their own. A subtle connection would be nice though. Like sharing Grandmothers name or a family name in general.

I love Lilah!

I don't think they have to match, I oftentimes don't like them matching actually. I don't see an issue with naming kids names tht start with the same letter but don't sound similar. I dislike names that are cute like Hayden and Aidan or Summer and Autumn. I would probably use Marguerite Ruth and Evangeline Faye or Marguerite Ruth and Eleanor Colette Do not be afraid that your life will end; rather, be afraid that it will never begin at all

Marguerite Ruth is lovely. I also love Evangeline and Eleanor.

I love Clara Josephine and Evelyn, and Clara and Evelyn is such a classy twinset.

No, I dislike matchy sibs. Ecspecially with multiples. It so cheesy unless they are just names you love and happen to be the same.Mine would be either Annabelle Lucy and Ruby Helena or Ruby Helena and Stella Jean.

I love Annabelle, Lucy and Helena.
vote up1
I really love Ruby Helena and Stella Jean. They are stunning!

I would name my twin girls Willow Maria & Scarlett Elsa. I don't like twin names rhyming or starting with the same letter. Just because they were born together doesn't make them a pair. They are individuals, so I would personally give them individual names.
vote up1
I love Willow and Scarlett Elsa.

Those are really nice!:)

Juliet Lark and Lila Sonnet?
Juliet Lark and Hazel Cordelia?
Juliet Lark and Annabel Charlotte?I just can't choose! Urgh! No, I definetly do NOT think that they have to match. They're individual people.

My pick is Juliet Lark and Annabel Charlotte. Both are gorgeous and Juliet and Annabel sound wonderful together.Juliet Lark and Hazel Cordelia is also very nice. You know how I feel about Sonnet, but Juliet and Lila are lovely together.

DD/DD: Eve Juliet / Nell RowenaThey definitely don't have to start with the same letter. But I think it's cute when they do.

Elisabeth Beatrice and Alexandra Juliet
I would try to avoid giving twins cutsey names and names which begin with the same letter

Alexandra Juliet is stunning! I also love Elisabeth.

Autumn is pretty.

Niamh Elina & Aoife Elen. Not taking into account exciting sibsets.
vote up1
Niamh, Elina and Elen are all very nice.

If I wrere going to have twins, I would name them with the same letter because it would simply sound right. I would name them Starlette and Skylar or Ambiah and Alorah. What beautiful names! Do you like them? I would also use rhymes like Kayla and Shayla. AND DON'T ANY OF YOU GO AROUND STEALING THE NAME STARLETTE! Grrrr!
vote up1
Oh, and along with Starlette, maybe Charlotte. Also maybe Margarette and Maiara o rMyra or something. I love naming twins!
vote up1
You may want to considerreading the rules before you post. CAPS is considered shouting and it is rude, and we don't "steal" names. Starlette isn't patented by you, and if someone else likes it, too bad. There are many names on the board with lots of people who like them. That's the way of the world.

Not at all...Anyone silly enough to throw an unprovokes tantrum about people "stealing" names should be prepared for the fallout. Even 12 yos (which I'd bet money that she is from the attitude and screenname) need to learn consequences.

If she's a Capricorn and was born in 1993, as her screen name would indicate, then she must have either turned 13 in January or be turning 13 in December. I'm betting on the latter! :-)

I'd name them Isabel Charlotte and Katherine Maria. Izzy and Kate. I don't think twin have to start with the same letter or even be similar style. As long as mom and dad love the names, it doesn't matter! I feel this way about sibling sets aswell.~Erin Lee, wife of Matthew James, mama to Sarah Patrice (11/29/04) and Dos (due sometime in late February or early March)~

I don't think they have to start with the same letter, and if I had twins I probably wouldn't do that unless I loved both names, but I think it's cute if they start with the same letter. I would name them:
Elyse Delilah and Natalie Elizabeth
or
Natalie Delilah and Anna Charlotte
or
Charlotte Elizabeth and Natalie Reagan
or
Rebecca Charlotte and Charlotte Elizabeth
or
Elyse Delilah and Rebecca CharlotteI don't really like any names that start with the same letter for a girl, so if I had twins I probably wouldn't name them names that start with the same letter.. actually Rory and Reagan are pretty cute, for either boy or girl, as twins.

I don't think anything *must* happen with the names of children in the same family, twins or not. If I had kids their names would "fit" because I like the same sort of names the most, but it's not as if I think it *needs* to be that way. Right now if I had twin girls I would name them:Edna Elizabeth
Joan Margaret

they wouldnt have to start with the same letter ...DD:
FN: Lily, Lilith, Liliana, Lila, Lilia, Lilian
MN: RoseDD:
Lucy, Lucille, Luciana, Luca, Lucila
MN: ClairePS-
I have identical twin cousins. (John "Jonhy" and Ronald "Ronnie")
Everything about them grownig up was the same to their mom. (my aunt
Jewel)
They had to dress the same and they were pretty much expected to be the same.
They now HATE their rhyming nick names and dress and act noting alike. So I guess what I am getting at is -
twins just look alike they don't have to BE alike.
So you dont have to give them names of the same letter. (even though I did)

Isabel Primrose & Josephine GraceI don't think they need to start with the same letter but it wouldn't bother me if they did (some people are very against it), say, for example, my top names at the time were Arabella & Adelina, or Freya & Flora, I wouldn't hesitate to use them simply because they began with the same letter.

I don't think they have to start with the same letter. I prefer that they don't because to me it looks cutesy. Mine would be Lilac Imogen and Alice Thisbe. Or, if I were in a really cutesy mood, Lilac Imogen and Lydia Iris or Alice Thisbe and Aviva Tanith.

They wouldn't have to but if they did then it would be fine. If I was to have twin girls now (with my four kids already William, Alexandria, Ruby and Lucas) then I'd call them:Evangeline Summer and Olivia-Grace May (Evie and Gracie-May)If I was to have them with no previous children then:Alexandria Iris Claire and Evangeline Adriana Summer (Alexandria and Evie)

No, they would not have to start with the same letter. They could, if you felt like it, but there's hardly a law for it.If I were to stick to this same first letter bull (for first names, at least), they'd be Roberta Rae and Rosemary Clair (Birdie and Romy). ;) Otherwise, I'm feeling Evening Rae and Rosemary Clair. Together, Evey and Romy or Evey and Posey. Array
