Yep.He was a screenwriter and novelist and one of the "Hollywood Ten." Ironically considering it was an anti-war novel, he stopped JGHS from being published until WWII was over (something like that; I forget the details) because of fearing conveying some sort of anti-Allied sentiment.

It's my husbands middle name... we always liked it, so it was only natural when it came time to name a boy :)anyway, i hijacked my own thread lol
