[Opinions] Logan for a girl?
I never liked the name Logan.
I saw it just a few minutes ago on a girl. It made me think "it's kinda cute on a girl". WDYT?
I know one boy named Logan. No girls. But I think it can be cute on a girl.
Any MN suggestions? Any MN suggestions for Sailor [boy and girl]

I detest the name Logan, i really only see it on 'trendy soccer mom's'. Its in the top 100 here for boys, but i've never met one.
I would only use Sailor on a boy, and only after one of my favorite songs "Sunny Sailor boy" by Luka Bloom.
It seems slightly disturbing on a girl, i can only imagine that weird asian fetish with sailor suits on girls..

It's all boy to me. And trendy at that. But then again, all trendy boy's names seem to be moving across the board to the other gender now, so it's not that far fetched. Not that it makes me like it any more, though.
I can't even give you a MN for Sailor because I think it's just... =/.

If you use Logan for a girl you have to keep in mind that it's a very popular boys name that's falling in popularity for girls. For 2005, baby boys named Logan outnumber girls named Logan 20 to 1.
For some girls this doesn't matter, but others can be a bit sensitive about it. My friend named her daughter Logan, she was the only girl Logan to about 8 boys named Logan in her grade level. She was horribly teased and eventually convinced her mother to let her go by the nickname Lola. I know some like unisex names, but others it is quite unfair to give them such a name. My friend's daughter Logan is very shy and was a target of teasing to begin with, so giving her a name that was completely opposite than everyone else was very difficult for her. Kids can be cruel, and boys aren't always so open minded to their names becoming unisex.
I would prefer Sailor as a unisex name because it's not that popular or one sided in the usage.

I prefer it for boys, perhaps because I immediately associate the name with Chief Logan:

I do not like Logan, esp for a girl. To me, it would be a big girl's name. Sailor is better.
The name Logan is not my style in general, but I prefer it as a boy's name if I had to pick which gender the name is better for.
I hate it for a boy or girl. I went to school in a sea of Logans. I knew 3 boys and 3 girls with this name in my tiny school. I much prefer Sailor on either gender to Logan on either gender.
