I think Milo and Otis or Milo in the cartoon tv show The Oblongs. I much prefer Miles.

Man, I loved that movie!

I watched Milo and Otis all the time, when I was little. :D

However, that isn't my first association, and I think Milo is actually a very nice name.

Milo is the name of a beautiful Border Collie I know. I really like it for a dog, but sorry, not for a kid.

It's cute enough, but that's the problem: it's just cute. It doesn't seem substantial enough as its own name. It's an adorable NN for Miles, though.

Fine for someone else's kid. Not something I'd choose myself. Good associations with Michael J. Fox, who played a Milo in Atlantis: The Lost Empire, one of my favourite Disney movies.
